Are there any long term effects that you guys are aware of from being scissored on a recurring basis? My wife is getting more into this and keeps getting concerned that she's going to hurt me. The other day she had me in a figure-4 and I tried to get out and somehow my nose ended up bleeding (a little). Then tonight, I guess I had some tiny ruptured blood vessels around my eyes. She also freaks out when she sees my face turning purple.
Have any of you session veterans experienced problems of any kind over time? |

I had my first session in 1976, and my first really serious (high-powered squeezing in my first video) incident in 1992.
Nope... I'm fine, in fact, better than ever, though I "retired" in 2013. Very actively writing and creating. Admittedly however, unlike my longtime bud Kandor, I always stopped before I approached blackout. I've probably (accidentally, by misjudging, my fault) only been knocked out a handful of times: Gabe Nicander, Tami Frazier, Anita Ramsey, Lia LaBowe. As my former partner Drew from ScissorVixens once pointed out on one of these threads, if you're knocked out often enough, I'm convinced there'll be a cumulative deleterious effect on your brain cells. I've posted before that this is not something you want to mess with... and some of our colleagues here have taken vigorous exception to that. I stand by it! ![]() |

I'm not sure it's a general thing. Some people have issues, some don't, some guys after being scissored have short-term memory problems a while later etc, I never have (even after being knocked out). This is just something you have to monitor yourself. If you ever notice you have trouble remembering anything or physical effects you think could be related, cool it with being so willing to be scissored.
After more than 20 years I just had my 1st incident of being put in a hold and knocked out and having a memory blip of it happening later, though I obviously know it happened I can't remember it. It wasn't a scissor hold, so you never know. |
