Unlike the LFL, these women are playing the same sport of Rugby as the men with the same rules, same amount of players, etc. Not some watered-down, sexist version. There are now avenues for women to get into Rugby and play professionally. So the talent pool is gaining depth. Look at some of these women. There are some big, meaty, powerful, athletic girls that would put a lot of males to shame if they stood next to them. They'd mog them, physically. Now, obviously they wouldn't beat an elite, top flight professional men's side, or a top schoolboy/University side... But a lower league / non-league side of try hards and beer bellies. Pub teams, etc. Absolutely. |

Knowing quite a few England rugby players these days, what pictures don't convey at all is how big the legs of some of the taller female players are in person.
They can look perfectly normal in pictures, but you don't really notice what 5'6 vs 5'10 looks like, and what a huge difference just an extra few inches on the quads can make – they can feel as big as your torso .. Female rugby players are also some of the coolest (and most dominant) girls you can find who don't tend to have much going on in their dating lives .. FBBs have fun clubs .. It's not really clear who dates female rugby players – not male rugby players. |

I would say another portion are so sport/career orientated, they have little time for men, dating and put the whole relationship, having kids thing on the back burner. Rugby is a team sport, so if you play, you tend to have a lot going on socially as a substitute. As for the men they do date - maybe not elite men, but some will be men that are knowledgeable about the game and maybe played to a decent level themselves, but couldn't make a career out of it. Lad I went to school with played professionally until he was 21 but career fizzled out. He then went to work for his Dad building/maintaining private swimming pools probably with a view to taking over by now. Most tend to be these wealthy, middle class types - University Rowers, etc. Family business to fall back on. In most sports you need wealth in order to be self-indulgent. A lot of people can't afford to be self-indulgent. Men's Football kind of bucks that trend, because it has such a vast infrastructure and opportunity to play at grassroots levels, schools, etc with scouting always going on. Still big, athletic blokes in most cases from a sporting background. It's like the woman I mentioned before that called Thai men "hobbits" when she holidayed there. She certainly didn't see these men as dating material. |
