Re: Do you think a really tough girl could beat up a guy?
It depends on the person. It is possible she could win and it is possible you could win. There are definitely exceptions to the rule and while men are stronger as a collective whole, an individual woman can defeat an individual man. I know with previous girlfriends, etc I could defeat a lot of them but there were a couple who could legitimately defeat me.

Isn't this thread a prime candidate for the 'Can Women Really Beat Men' sub-forum? (I think @[Only Registered Users Can See LinksClick Here To Register] asked us to be spotters when he opened it.)

It's the same ol' "Question asked by someone who apparently has never been outside" thread again.
Yes, dude. It's actually fairly common. |

Yes a female can beat a male.
I met and wrestled with Veve Lane. Things did not go well for me. Years ago I wrestled Christine Marshall. It was in Fort Lauderdale. I remember begging for mercy on video. |

Re: Do you think a really tough girl could beat up a guy?
For years ago I wrestled vs a woman at my own weight (85 kg). Even I am trained, she totally outwrestled me - she was a wrestler and I didn't knew before she told it afterwards.
In the crossfitclub there is a tall, muscular woman, former rower, and she lifts a lot more than I can for more reps, and when I arm wrestled and leg wrestled with her, she beated me in few seconds. |

Re: Do you think a really tough girl could beat up a guy?
As the poster already knows, it depends on the guy and girl in question. If you take a MMA heavyweight or a World's Strongest Man who is a skilled fighter, based on genetics, they aren't losing to any women in a fight.
But to the heart of the question I think you're asking; an average guy who is not a trained fighter, could definitel be beaten by a trained tough girl (even if she's physically smaller). Two equally trained guys and girls, I think the guy would win 9/10 times based on genetics. Although if the woman happened to have a really big size advantage, that could skew things in the woman's favor. Really too many unknown variables, lol. |

Honestly, we have understand, that even a trained OrsiB is in the 5% strongest girls in the world. When i see what as girls are in our big office building, i can't imagine that even 5% would have a chance vs OrsiB!

Re: Do you think a really tough girl could beat up a guy?
As some of you wrote, it is certainly possible, and it depends on a lot of factors.
In judo as pre-cadets (U14) we were fully competitive with the boys. I began doing judo at age 11 (father was a black-belt judoka and he convinced me and mom that it would have many good effects on my physical and mental condition, he was not fully right though) and after a few months practice I realized that in my age group the boys were not really stronger than us, and the best in the mixed U12 team was actually a green-belt girl, with whom the boys tried to avoid sparring as much as they could do. Stepping up to cadets (15-16) things began to change rapidly. Concerning the boys, fortunately there were enough girls in our dojo to avoid mixed sparring in most of the time. I loved to see them being occasionally defeated by girls but that happened less and less as most of them left us behind in terms of size and strength. However, the heavier boys were rarely paired with girls and I was lucky enough to avoid the toughest and most aggressive ones. As of junior age (17-20) I had no more personal experience about competitive judo fights versus males. Size counts a lot between skilled and experienced fighters and almost all the guys had become much larger than us by that time. I was half-middleweight and that roughly equals to the lightest males. From junior age on, legitim mixed judo matches are almost non-existing. We still sparred with our male teamates at training just for fun or practice techniqes in randori but during those fights they always tried to overpower us as gently as they could. Others may have different experiences, though I would be surprised at major differences in the overall picture. |
