I recall Helen Von Mott, in her old yahoo group, writing that a female bjj white belt would "wipe the mat" with the average untrained male office worker. That was her opinion although I think it was probably an overgeneralization.

Well, "BJJ white belt" can mean anything from someone who has trained for 1,5-2 years to someone on her first month.

From what I have personally seen and experienced I tend to agree, if the man is completely untrained and clueless, of average size and out of shape even a girl with just 6-12 months of dedicate and serious training with high level teachers is going to have a massive advantage.

Altough it depends a lot on how seriously and passionately she takes training and on the technical quality of the istruction, which is something that can vary dramatically from school to school.

From person to person, as well. What an individual can (or can't) do doesn't always come down to physical size, toughness or training.

Consider:

-some people can sing in front of a group of people.....some can't
-some people can speak in front of a group of people.....some can't
-some people can express themselves in writing.....some can't

-some people are disposed to fighting.....some aren't.

If you go back to the original post in this thread, you can see that the girl is a bully; she's willing & able to express herself with physical force. The guy in the example simply didn't want to fight. Society might call him a wimp, but it isn't necessarily so.

So, to answer the original question ("Do you think a really tough girl could beat up a guy?), I say yes....... she might not have his physical size and/or strength, but if elements of her personal make-up compel her to go up against a guy that has no predisposition toward fighting, she might very well beat him up.

Yeah, I was surprised when Helen also wrote her opinion on Kyla, who was at least a blue belt at the time, and guys raved about. She opined that Kyla was at a high white belt level, but had great potential, wishing that she had dedicated herself to training more seriously.

100% this. I know because I've had it happen to me more than once.

If you're scared shitless of the girl, she already has an advantage. Especially if she knows you're scared. If she comes at you with enough aggression and force, and you have no idea how to react, she's going to beat your ass.

If she thinks you're a pussy and has the confidence and the slightest bit of athletic ability, she will run through you and emasculate you.

I know from experience that a tough girl can beat up and dominate a guy. I had my first learning experience in female domination when I was in
high school, 10th grade . That was the year I started wrestling for
the varsity in said high school. This was during a time when females
were just starting to participate on the high school wrestling teams.
Anyway, one of our rival schools had a 9th grade female name Sara who
was wrestling in my weight class so she was my opponent whenever our
schools met in a wrestling match. The first time we wrestled we were
both new and inexperienced in varsity wrestling so it was not a good
match for either of us. In the end, she did get the win by one point
with an escape late in the match. I had made history by being the
first boy in our school to wrestle against and be beaten by a girl.
Fast forward to the following spring when I had to wrestle against her
again in the sectional tournament.
I was in better physical condition and had gained some wrestling
experience by then so I went into this match with a higher level of
confidence. Unfortunately she had acquired experience and confidence
also. She beat me again and this time it wasn't even close. She was
awarded a tech fall which means that when she got ahead by 15 points,
the match was called and the victory awarded to her. At this point, it
was clear that she was the better wrestler and we both knew it. I had
been soundly beaten. After that, I had to wrestle her 3 times in my
11th grade and twice again in my 12th grade all with similar results.
The simple reality is that I had an opponent that was dominating me.
The deeper reality is that said opponent was one with a pussy.
Getting physically dominated by a girl is both humiliating and
emasculating. Sometime during my 11th grade I started to derive a
masochistic pleasure in her dominance of me. Being thoroughly beaten
on the wrestling mat put me into a position of being weakened by a
dominant female. I was getting forced into submission by a girl demonstrating
her supremacy over me. That's how I got to where I am today.

Yes a female can beat a male.
I met and wrestled with Veve Lane. Things did not go well for me.
Years ago I wrestled Christine Marshall. It was in Fort Lauderdale. I remember begging for mercy on video.
i remember you begging for mercy. That video is still on You Tube today.

In this day and age, why is this still a question?

I’ve been doing sessions for years. My fantasy is getting beat up by women. Having said that, I am bigger and stronger than most men and women and I have a couple years of training. I know I could beat these women in a competitive environment. The one exception is Anji. She’s the only woman I’ve met who can legit kick my ass (without a nut shot). That woman kicked my ass from one side of the room to the other. Total respect for her.

Interesting stuff, I would like to ask you a few questions if you don't mind it.

-How big and strong are you? I mean how tall and heavy you are, what's your physique/bodytipe and how much can you bench press, squat or deadlift?

-What martial art did you practice?

-Can you share more details about how your matches with Anji panned out and how she kicked your ass? Did you try your best to win?
