Default Headscissor Knockouts - Boon or Bane

I would like to inquire something about really hard headscissors / knockout headscissors.

Apart from being in a feeling of intense sensual euphoria, is it really true that everyone who has experienced them would have rashes on the neck and/or red spots in the eyes? Or it just happens to some unlucky guys?

Also, do they cause any health issues later or what are the chances that such knockouts would cause someone any health issues later in life.

I've been knocked out once, no rashes on the neck or red spots in the eyes. I guess it depends on wether the hold is well applied or not.

I get broken blood vessels around my eyes and on my eyelids from certain squeezes that are really hard and stop the blood from draining from my face... It's not tied to directly to being KO'd. I've been KO'd probably a dozen times and it never caused the spots right after. Each KO left me unaware where I was but no headache. I am also curious about the long term risks... Because I live the feeling of being laid out asleep at the feet of a powerful woman! Any studies been done on martial arts practitioners like on boxers? Clearly being punched into unconsciousness has long term effects... But being choked out? I haven't experienced any... Hopefully I won't!

I don't typically get rashes on the neck either, but I imagine You could get one from aggressive wrestling. Usually my neck does hurt after wrestling (again not necessarily from being KO'd. It almost feels like a sore throat.

I was mostly concerned about the external injuries or scars that are visible to others which would give you a tough time trying to explain what happened. From above posts, I have to say its not always that you happen to have external injuries even after experiencing knockouts.

I pretty much always get the spots around my eyelids, but I've never been knocked out. I discovered last night though that it only takes 8 seconds for my girlfriend to make me tap! She won't knock me out, she doesn't like the idea of it and said that scissors would stop forever is she did KO me.

The rash would be from bad technique or good technique using clothing or ropes to help with the choke ( use silk or under armor, not a cure all, but softer than anything else).

Busted blood vessels comes from too high blood pressure. I'm not sure if that's avoidable, but it doesn't happen every time. Sometimes hard chokes don't do it, sometimes something unrelated like lifting weights will burst blood vessels ( trying to remember the name for it, piticial hemmoraging? My spelling is terrible.)

Long term health issues is debatable. Chokes are completely different than concussions, so you can't compare the 2 types of KO's. The only study I know of says no, but it was a short term one. There's some evidence to suggest increasing blood pressure in the head can increase the risk for glaucoma, but I wouldn't put stock in it just yet, its pretty early to say. There is risk of injury that will be long term obviously, like from damage to your throat or neck. So bottom line is a definite maybe.
