I have had this fetish as long as I can remember, and it did not come from any trauma. As a little kid, my playmate was a girl across the street that was 2 years older. She was bigger than me and could beat me in any physical event, including wrestling. She would grab me in a sleeperhold and make me say things such as "I love you" or "your the prettiest girl in the world" ETC... And I enjoyed it I don't consider that as a "traumatic" event. I consider it a very fond memory

Sorry this thread was not meant to center around the word trauma, but obviously sarge0068 it seems was "triggered" by his playmate it seems simple to tell.

Now I don't know, but sarge0068 do you seek out only dominant partners or do sessions with bigger, stronger females as a result of this "very fond memory"?

In my case, it wasn't about anything that happened to me personally.

In elementary school, I had a classmate Jim who had what I now recognize as mental problems. He was obsessed with sports, and he was hyper-competitive and hyper-masculine. He couldn't handle losing and would scream at the ref after any unfavorable call. He couldn't handle even the gentlest of teasing. The guy was just all ego, needing to be the Alpha Dog.

And I had a classmate Molly who was blonde and kind of a tomboy. Not a lot to say about her, really. I never saw her get into a physical confrontation. She was just the kind of girl who liked playing tag and picking up bugs.

Anyway, the idea suddenly popped into my head one day: what if Molly beat up Jim on the soccer field? What if she hit him a few times and knocked him down and sat on him? Fuck, it would destroy his whole psyche. It would, like, completely ruin his life.

And that thought was so intense that, well, it was my first sexual thought and for a long time it was my only sexual thought.

So to me, it's never been about trauma, or about anything happening to me. It's always been about bearing witness to someone else's complete humiliation. The thought of actually being the one wrestling a woman isn't even particularly sexy to me.

I would not say wrestling with my playmate "triggered" me either. She could beat me in a foot race, or jumping the highest, or any physical event. And I have no desire to have a foot race against a faster female today. It is simply a case of my first memories of enjoying being put into a chokehold by a girl was with her. Same thing as my first memory of ordering an ice cream, I could not pronounce "vanilla" so I would just say give me some "White" ice cream. That memory is not why I like ice cream today. Or the first time I remember playing football and realizing that I was pretty good at it and enjoyed it. I don't feel that "triggered" me into liking football, rather than it was a case of me trying a new game and enjoying it.
And No, I don't seek out bigger, stronger or dominant Women to have sessions with. I seek out the ones that I think are good looking and am physically attracted to. That is usually Women that are good at chokeholds, and if she has hairy forearms, that is even better.
I would not say any traumatic event, or any event "triggered" this attraction. I feel that it is is simply a fetish/attraction I was born with, and my playmate is simply my first memory of it. I am sure I enjoyed ice cream before my first memory of eating or asking for it. So my first memory of ordering vanilla ice cream is similar to my first memory of enjoying being choked by my playmate.

I think you probably don't know the meaning of the word "traumatic".

I've been into this fetish and reading through websites and forums for years, I never read any encounter where trauma shaped someone's fetish. Trauma is a car accident, abuse, or some disaster. losing to your sister when young or things like that isn't called trauma.

Everyone has different preferences within this fetish. Some like it hard, some soft, some prefer to be utterly dominated, and some enjoy sessions that are more realistic, competitive, or friendly.

For me, nothing specific led me to this fetish. I've always been an alpha in real life and don't recall losing to anyone when young or experiencing anything like that. I've always been turned on by domination porn and the idea of a female being strong and dominating enough to make a man submit or be at her mercy. I found this so unique and hot. Watching intergender matches on WWE or similar shows always turned me on, and eventually, I discovered scissorholds and mixed wrestling websites, and I've been enjoying my fetish for years.

and yeah I like the atmosphere of my session to be friendly and stuff, but that doesn't make other people traumatized subs.

Again apologies for the use of the word "Trauma". What I wanted to hear from people who just liked the idea of two athletic, strong, somewhat skilled (with bjj I no longer say skilled) women going at it, imagining then that they want to be the one wrestling the female and that is their simple fetish and it was not borne out of something that happened to them as a child or the idea of being overpowered by a FBB and scissored, carried.....

If that was/is not the case, also interested in thoughts.

Please stop being "triggered" by the word trauma (though yes it would be traumatic as a child if some of what I read happened to me).

There's an array of experiences- most likely more than one event- at least for me that is the case.
My good friend, Cookie, the local tomboy beat me decisively in a boxing match. She stopped because she did not want to hurt me. This was pre-puberty.
But psychosexual development for me involved a strong mother figure and a lot of other things.
So I have always liked big and strong women- I like watching F-F combat because I like seeing a tough woman- but it is the mixed combat about which I fantasize- as well as female strength sport, weight throwing events, pole vault- any opportunity to see strong women is what gets to me.
I am more submissive than dominant and more masochistic than sadistic- a " bottom rather than a top".

I could be evidence for the idea that a physical triggering event is not necessary. I had no older sisters or bully-girl classmates, and doubt that my mother whopped my butt much if at all.

But the appeal of female dominance in my case was generated mostly by media. It wasn't purely the "athleticism" angle mentioned in the OP, though; it could be any moderately attractive female shown dominating men or other women. Some of the appeal came from the atttraction of the unexpected; of a person of female gender acting against type. There's a TV-show line in which a wife, who's just blacked her husband's eye, says, "My mother always told me to act like a lady-- and HIT like a man!"
