Default Embarrassed at the Gym

Has this ever happened to anyone ? I am 6-1 and about 200 lbs and look like I should be strong but for my size I am not. Actually better at cardio.

There is a woman at my gym in her mid 30s who is incredibly fit. She is about 5-7 but only about 125 lbs. I don't talk to her other than to say hello but I hear her talking to other members; apparently she competes in fitness events. does P 90 X and has done half marathons and triathalons.

It is incredible to watch her do lifts with 35 lb barbells, leg press 300 plus for reps, etc. I have seen her run on the treadmill for an hour at 6 to 6.7 mph. Meanwhile there I am next to her struggling with 20 lb barbells. I can run at that speed but only for 15 -20 minutes.

I've seen her look at me with my light weights and kind of grin, sometimes rolls her eyes. There's no doubt she would destroy me in a fight she also does the speed bag quite well and karate kicks the hell out the heavy bag.

Plus she's good looking. Basically she intimidates me but I also find it somewhat arousing to be around such a physically superior female.

For those that know me on here, you know that I don't relish the opportunity to share this, but yet I feel obligated to suck it up and do it anyway since I know it will be of interest to some of you.

Another disclaimer: I don't make up fake stories on here, so rest assured this really happened.

Tonight at the gym I was completely shown up and out-lifted by an attractive, tiny, blonde girl. I was on the squat rack with a couple sets to go when she walked up to the rack next to me. She couldn't have been more than 5'2'' and probably weighed somewhere in the neighborhood of 120-130 pounds, less than half what I weigh. She was wearing these tiny exercise shorts with some kind of flowers or some girly design on them, and a short shirt that showed some of her midriff. She had an attractive face, a flat stomach, and HUGE thighs that must have been at least 25 inches around. Her legs weren't overly defined, they still had that smooth, feminine appearance to them, but were very thick and clearly comprised of a lot of muscle.

I knew as soon as I saw her that she was a serious lifter. Immediately I started to get that familiar nervous feeling in the pit of my stomach. Somehow I just knew she was going to be squatting, and that she was going to give me a run for my money even though the odds of that were still quite low. I'm not as strong right now as I've been in the past, but I'm not that much weaker either. I was finishing up 5 sets with about 305lbs, which I was feeling OK about.

She took forever to get setup, adjusting the rack, putting on her knee sleeves etc. She did a set with an empty bar and I could tell her form was good. Then she went right up to 135lbs and I was like "ah crap". To my horror, after a quick set, she then proceeded to slap another 45lbs plate on both sides and rifled off a quick set of 225lbs for 5 reps. Then, without hardly any rest she puts 25's on each side which came to 275lbs. Then she brought out her weight belt. By now I'm really getting anxious, since her warm up pyramid is basically identical to mine. After her 275 set, she walks around to the side of the rack. My in head I'm saying, "leave the weight alone, leave the weight alone...". No such luck, she takes off the 25lbs plate, which can only mean she's going up to 315lbs! No!!! She hits that for 3 quick reps. By then I was finished with my sets and was trying to clean my area get the heck out of there. Later I walked by her rack and she had gone up to 330lbs!

"What a world we live in today" I thought to myself. I shook my head in defeat.

Running 6 miles in an hour is not even slightly fit mate.

I swear, I always feel like this guy whenever I see a really strong girl in the gym, except replace the word "humans" with "women"...

I would focus on you instead of what she is doing unless it is a friendly competiton.
Though I have done pull ups with a female that competes in figure and helped me out a bit.

As I used to have a +1200 lift total (I pretty much never do all 3 on the same day anymore) it doesn't happen often, but that fact makes those very rare times it does happen very cool. I'm impressed not embarrassed.

Multiply by the square root of 60 divided by 24 (gotta factor in hours in the day).....carry the 2.....and then borrow from the 8 and.........someone running 6 miles per hour will run.....4! 4 miles in one hour!
