Default MegaUpload Alternative

Dear Forum,

I would like to create branch off [Only Registered Users Can See LinksClick Here To Register] and make a public poll to decide which file sharing service we shall all use from now on.

One file sharing website of choice will make sharing easier on the forum, as most people here can afford a subscription to one resource. At the moment I have premium accounts at oron, filepost and turbobit, but we have used on this forum the most was megaupload, because, well, it was much better, and much faster than the rest. And free accounts had good speed and a huge download capability before the limit.

Now that megaupload is gone, and I don't believe in its resurrection, we have to choose one favorite filehost. It will still not be mandatory, but preferable.

So, the candidates are:

1. Wupload (first option was Filesonic before. I replaced after Filesonic closed its file sharing capabilities)
2. Oron
3. DepositFiles
4. Filepost
5. MediaFire
6. Rapidshare
7. FileServe
8. Badongo
9. FileFactory
10. Zshare
11. TurboBit
12. HotFile

Please vote based on the next factors:
  • Premium download speed
  • Ability to resume premium downloads
  • Free download speed
  • Free download limit
  • Less or no popups / waiting time
I've noticed that after megauplad went down most of these services have increased their free download speed to fight to be the choice of former megaupload users. So, when judging, please recall their characteristics in the past, and not today, if at all possible. Because I believe they are gonna lower their speeds after some time.

So, Forum, which filehost?

I think Oron does not have an upload manager.

Have you compared oron and df premium speeds? I get max (my max) speed on oron, which is around 400 KBytes/s.

Edit: DepositFiles also offers FTP upload, while Oron does not, I believe. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

oron is dirt slow where I"m from. Deposit isn't bad. I like Filesonic.

What about Multiupload? I wonder if it sends links to a premium account if you have one? Anyone know?

What about turbobit and hotfile? Any experience with uploading to them?
As far as downloading goes, turbobit premium speed is awesome, free account speed is so-so. Hotfile has good free speed, never had a premium there.

Filesonic just stopped the file sharing option on their site, now you can only download files you uploaded.

I read an article, apparently Filesonic did this voluntarily. Rapidshare has said they are not going to change anything.

Personally I like Hotfile the most (based on speed and etc.), but i think rapidshare would be the best choice since it's the largest and oldest file-hosting site and has survived many lawsuits (just check wiki!), therefor the odds of it getting shut down are the lowest, In my opinion.

Also, Mediafire lets free user have parallel downloads with no waiting time which is pretty cool!
