Catching Up with PFL Challenger Series' Jeslen Mishelle

On March 4, Jeslen Mishelle will make her mixed martial arts professional debut during the upcoming PFL Challenger Series 3 event. Fighting out of Big Creek, Calif., Mishelle is scheduled to face Julia Dorny in a three-round lightweight affair. To prepare for the next step in her life, Mishelle picked Syndicate MMA as her training center. In a recent interview with Sherdog, Mishelle discussed the many passions in her life, ranging from acting to pro-wrestling and MMA. Additionally, she discussed her relationship with some former Professional Fighters League contestants, including Tom Lawlor.

And she won! TKO in the first round! What a bad-ass! I hope someone can post a video of that. Wouldn't it be something if a session wrestler became an MMA champ in the PFL.

She is interesting to watch in the cage. Jeslen is very strong, and somewhat of a brawler. Her last few fights she has had some fairly big name female fighters working her corner, Sarah Kaufman and Roxanne Modafferi. She must have some good sponsors. Hopefully she continues doing well

Unfortunately, Jeslen did not get a full PFL contract despite winning both her fights in 2022 in a decisive manner. But in 2023, she will get another chance, this time fighting in a new (for the PFL) feather weight division. Her first opponent is a 20-year-old Brazilian, also with a 2-0 pro record. Fight will be on February 3, but I don't yet know where or what the video arrangements are. We all love Jeslen and can't wait to see her as an MMA champ. Anyone who has not yet heard her interview on Ashley Evans-Smith's sex and violence podcast, should give it a listen.
