Default What percentage of untrained men can Kayla Harrison defeat?

I decided to open a similar thread to the one about Michelle Waterson, but featuring Kayla Harrison instead.

How many men with no combat sport/martial arts experience do you think Kayla could beat in a real, no rules fight?
When I say "she could beat" I mean that she would be the favourite in the fight or that she has a 50% of winning at the very least, not that she would necessarily win 100% of the time.
For example in you think that a man has 30-40% chance of beating her, he still counts as a guy that she could beat.

I also point out that the poll refer to men in the 18-50 age grup.

Moreover, what kind of men do you think would be too much for her?
Eg. how big, strong or athletic they would need to be?
What kind of athletic background or amount of street fighting experience they would need?

You are welcome to explain your opinion and reasoning in this thread.

For those that don't know her, she is an insanely skilled and accomplished Judoka.
She won the gold olympic medal in Judo twice (2012 and 2016) and she is currently a professional MMA fighter that competes for PFL (Professional Fighters League) with a record of 10 wins and zero losses.

In addition to her top-notch figthing skills she is also a pretty big, strong and muscular girl with a very robust build, since she is 173 cm (5'8 tall) and she competed in the 78 kg (172 lbs) division in Judo.

In my humble opinion you have literally zero chance unless a boulder fall on her head during the fight or something like that.

Well I assume so, she would probably wrap you into a clinch and dump you on your head with a Judo throw in the span of a few seconds, similarly to this guy:

It's the face she made when she saw that you voted "less than 5%" just to mess with me.

Change it to your true vote man.

She could beat a lot of "trained" guys too. Seriously, when you reach that level, you're probably only talking about a few thousand guys (maybe 10-20,000) on the planet that could beat her and that is a very, very small amount from a global population of almost 8 billion.

How many Judo black belts are there in the world? Probably over a million. I was able to find out there are over 40,000 BJJ black belts registered with the IBJJF but it's thought only 1 in 10 are registered, so in real world terms you're looking at 400,000 black belts. lol. You can't tell me having a black belt and training means you're any good. A huge amount of your ability stems from physical fitness, athleticism and genetics.

Kayla is not only very skilled, but also very talented - very genetically gifted. That's the platform you need to become an Olympian. It's not accessible for anyone and everyone just from training and trying.

Check out some footage from a London McDojo. Again, note the lack of physical fitness. These are just paying customers - people that think it's trendy to go to Judo classes, own a Gi, acquire a "black belt" ... Some girls can beat some guys (11:28)... Some guys can beat some girls. There's a lot of disparity among and between genders at grassroots level.

Yes of course she could, the thread is about untrained people since it's what I was interested in but I was not implying that trained guys are out of her league just by virtue of being trained.
She could actually beat the vast majority of people who practice combat sport or martial arts in my opinion.

Before someone get me wrong, of course she would get dominated without any effort whatsoever by professional MMA fighters or by elite male grapplers, but these represents the top 0,1% of trained men.

There are a lot of "transferable skills" from working on your physical fitness alone - running, weight training, etc.

It's no secret that fighters dedicate a huge portion of their time to strength and conditioning.

Personally I don't consider a person that works on these things to be "untrained".

They might lack knowledge of technique, but the fitter you are, the more you can get away with sloppy technique or instinctual fighting - hitting, choking, twisting up limbs, etc.

That was my experience when I had a few BJJ, Judo classes. I was in there with some guys that couldn't do a push up or sit up, or couldn't touch their toes, took twice as long to get up from the ground. But apparently we are all "the same" because we were all white belts. We are not the same.

You could put Serena Williams in that class I showed above and I am confident she could beat up anyone there based on fitness, strength and athleticism alone.

Good Ramsey vid.
