Default Headscissors and brain damage

I've been in headscissors almost daily recently and that made me think about this topic more seriously.

I tried to research for studies that show long term effects on brain after frecuent strangling but I don't find anything. What do you guys think about this topic?

The thing is that I LOVE being headscissored but I don't want brain damage becouse of it (even if it's small) becouse with years, that could end up becoming something noticeable

Won't happen, unless you pass out frequently on a daily basis

Depends on what you mean by "headscissor". It sounds like you're referring to being knocked unconscious? I can't speak to that, but as far as just being headscissored goes, people like Drew and Jay Fox are probably as good of case studies as you're going to find, and they both seem like they're still all there

Do you black out in headscissors? Or do you just randomly black out during the day while going about everyday activities? If you are just randomly blacking out, that’s bad.

But answering your question, headscissors will not cause brain damage.

The sport of Judo began in 1882, and since then, millions of people have been in chokeholds, which are probably functionally identical to headscissors.

There are certainly cases of judo competitors having strokes due to chokeholds, which lead to severe brain damage.

But in the absence of strokes, I can't find any evidence that brief non-conclusive periods of unconsciousness lead to cumulative brain damage the way CTE does.

I am not a doctor, and anyone taking medical advice from me will die immediately.
