Another great favourite at Festelle was Maggie,not just an artist on the wrestling mat but renowned on canvas with her paints.
Somewhat unique in her time when some of the girls were more willing to admit working as a topless dancer or stripper than admit to enjoying wrestling.Maggie appeared on a tv talk show with I think it was the late Russel Harty who showed more interest in her wrestling than her art.
Maggie had some great bouts against Susan in particular and the much bigger Helen where a genuine dislike for eachother was displayed.(One of these bouts can be found on the 13th of June edition of my blog***femfighteurope.blogspot.co.uk)
Maggie can still be seen in I believe a teaching role around the art gallery scene in London and though not taking part I believe taking an interest in the wretling scene.

Assuming this is the right gal, she may teach etching and intaglio printing at London's Royal Drawing School.

I believe Maggie clashed with Beatrice in an Athens tournament in the early 90's but am unaware of the result.

They fought 4 times, with Maggie beating her Once apparently...

I had the good fortune to wrestle Maggie about 10 years ago. She had me tied up in knots for most of the match. She has the hardest soles on her feet - not that it detracted from the action.

She is a real lady though and a credit to the wrestling world.

She turned 65 on July 31st and retired from Wrestling after Fighting Pippa and Shelby beach in summer 2012. Now, has Arthritis in both Knees Quite Severley too. Yes, she told me some yrs back as i Phoned her.

Kristie Etzold, dislocated her Knee back in the 90s whilst beating Maggie.
She Put the Knee back in place and Continued. Leia Kawaii, Broke Maggie ribs whilst crushing her in a Bearhug....
