I watched Veira vs McMann, Viera looked like a big strong women that knows how to fight for sure. Zingano is going to have her hands full in this fight.

Unfortunately Cat Zingano lost the match and it will be very difficult for her to come back. Her troubles actually started after her injury some years ago before her match with Ronda, after that injury ,not training for several months ,she could never get back to the same level as before.

She just didn’t look like she wanted to be there, but at least she went the distance.

She failed in grappling. Didn't expect that from her. So sad to see her struggling underneath that youngster through out the match

We see the same thing with most other athletes as well , it isn’t just Cat. When most of us hit the mid 30’s our bodies age. Most pictures and quarterbacks are on the tail end of their careers. So it’s not that surprising same thing happened with MMA. We get just that little bit slower or weaker and that is the difference at the top in these sports. I wonder what Cat will do next ? She still is a big name in mma.

Across the board we often see that losses breed more losses because the sport is extremely psychological. When you're high on, or down on confidence, it counts for a lot.

Cat is having a pretty quick turn around this time and is set to return at UFC Fight Night 133 on 14th July against Marion Reneau.

Reneau is 41 in August but seems to be riding the crest of a wave at the moment and hasn't lost in 2 years. Same record as Cat, 9-3. Never been stopped and has wins over Jessica Andrade and Sara McMann.

Cat vs Reneau should be a fight worth seeing. But if Cat loses, she should consider another career.

UFC Fight Night 133 is officially in the books and Cat Zingano defeated Marion Reneau by unanimous decision. Every judge had Cat winning all three rounds with one judge giving her a 10-8 for the third round.

The story of the fight was basically that Cat had more tools in her arsenal, namely her takedowns.

Reneau has historically been very good off of her back - she has a solid guard and is dangerous with triangle chokes - she even pulled guard a couple of times, but Cat's wrestling and BJJ defence was too good for her to threaten with any submissions off her back and broadly speaking, if you're on the bottom, you're losing.

Cat was very emotional after the fight. Probably out of relief. This was a bit of a monkey off her back after not winning a fight for almost 4 years.

Coming in as the clear betting favorite, the only thing Reneau really showed was an ability to take some damage. Zingano was getting no pre-fight respect....available odds were as high as +150 in some places.

She is 35, but I could potentially see Zingano fighting at this level for another 4-5 years.
