No shit. I have said before that it's easy to be ignorant about a group of people when that group is greatly oppressed.

It wasn't just social barriers, but legal too. Women didn't have the right to vote, the right to work in many professions and no avenues or support to play sport.

So it was easy for previous generations to just hold the opinion that women wouldn't be any good at X-activity, so no point them even trying. There was no competition between males and females.

The only downside for being a man was that you might get drafted into a war like my great uncle Ernie... WWI when he was 18 and never came home.

But ignorance is also bliss.

The boomer generation of males never knew how easy they had it. Financially, economically, and socially. I've said before that older sitcoms, movies that depict a blue collar factory worker earning enough to buy a nice house, run a couple of cars and support a stay home wife, 2-3 kids, 2 pets... It's completely out of touch with modern living.

Ignorance is bliss. It's like everyone has an expiry date. But most people would chose not to know. I currently think I'm pretty healthy and in shape. I might live to be 90, 100 or I might snuff it in 6 months. Maybe I've got 2 years. It might come a lot sooner than we think. But knowing would just hang over you. Not knowing stuff - important stuff - often makes you happier.

Same as they don't want to be in school, learning shit... They'd rather be drowning in the bottomless abyss of gaming, vaping and porn. So girls are pulling ahead academically. Boys falling behind.

This is the world we're now living in. Boys have to compete with girls at everything.

Girls are getting stronger simply by virtue of males getting weaker. They're getting stronger for more reasons than that, but that alone is reason enough... Losing testosterone due to obesity and phytoestrogens in processed food, gooey body washes and plastics. Genitalia shrinking. Oh, it's true.

I think if you compare indian men to various women around the world, it serves as a pretty good depiction of the future where men have reached their peak and women breeze past it. It is a humbling future as even today in terms of physicality indian men are thoroughly inferior to women not only from the developed west, but also those from its poorer neighbour pakistan.

It's the teens that scare me the most. Yesterday they were playing with dolls and now they're maling me feel insecure at the gym. and they're just starting. It's scary to think of their potential.

Once the gym were you could find unthreatening eye candy. These days the kind of sexual excitement it provides is the one that ends in nervous masturbation to get rid of the feeling of threat.

I agree, seeing more girls lifting in the gym. Girls have strong legs, closer to men then other muscle groups. Being shorter also makes it easier to leg press more weight compared to body weight etc. Personally I like seeing women getting fit and lifting impressive numbers. Yet lifting doesn’t mean they are in total becoming just as powerful as men on average. Weight lifting is for great part about technique and overall I won’t feel intimidated or insecure from persons lifting more in a gym.

Yes it’s definitely changed a lot. I see more and more teenaged girls joining and it’s scary how quickly they improve. There’s one girl who can’t be over 18 and is about 5’2 and 110 pounds. I only noticed her for the first time a few months ago. I’m sure I would have noticed her if she was there before that because she is very attractive and wears pretty revealing outfits. Last week I noticed she was doing deadlifts at 200lbs. This is more than I can do and I weigh about twice as much as her. I was hoping that she was just trying it for 1 rep but she kept going for 10! Every time she went for another rep I felt my heart sink. I guess I was staring too much because when she was done she gave me a look like “ya I know you hate that I’m stronger than you”. Even though I just got there I couldn’t focus on my workout and went home a few minutes later.
