The Octopus submission hold is one of the favourite moves of the “Joshi Puroresu” stars and they are very good at it… In the genuine Octopus, one leg is pushing on the opponent’s neck, the other is above his thigh and one arm is locked and twisted backward. The other similar moves are the various abdominal stretching submission holds, less spectacular yet as painful.
The Octopus is almost inescapable and excruciating but it is reserved to very skilled wrestlers. The lucky men who have had the privilege to deal with practiced Japanese girls can easily understand what I mean here.

When the rest of the world was getting drenched by buckets of water, the Japanese had to be different. And so, in admittedly appalling quality, may I present The Octopus Hold Challenge.

The key word here is 'rarity'. Firstly because that explains why everything looks so bad. Perhaps if you pretend the images are a series of oil paintings, you'd feel much better about them. And, of course, seeing the hold performed outside of the wrestling ring is certainly a novelty. The Ladies Night Out crowd around my way don't go to this extreme with the unlucky men they meet. And look - the clever drunken lass has managed to keep an arm free to celebrate! [8-9]

So if you see any formally-attired businesswomen wrestling poor male diners in your own local restaurants, bring the evidence here. Just make sure it's in better quality.
