Default Elvis:45 Years Ago Today

As most of you know,it was 45 years ago today that Elvis died while at home in his Graceland mansion in Memphis,Tennessee. Some time in the early hours of that morning of 8-16-77 he keeled over off the toilet of his bathroom after he was trying to have a bowel movement.Elvis had a bad case of constipation due to his large intake of opioid drugs and was probably straining to go when he suffered a fatal heart attack, brought on by a combination of massive drug use of all kinds and being quite over weight. While sitting on the toilet he had been looking at a magazine of astrology but had photos of scantily clad or nude women with each astrological sign.He was found by one of the women who were part of his housekeeping staff curled up on the carpeted floor of the bathroom clad in silk pajamas with a large gold pendant hanging from his neck. And somewhere within the confines of the King's world famous home inside of a closet were a few f vs f 8mm Judell films.I had first become aware of his interest in female wrestling from a tell all biography written about him by Albert Goldman back in 1981.From what I had read in this biography,Elvis was one strange character but his wrestling thing was by far one of the more tame aspects about him.

Leg Show magazine did a catfight photo shoot based on Elvis’ interest in erotic wrestling. Back in the 1990s

And from Penny Banner's Wikipedia page....

Banner went on five dates with Elvis Presley between 1956 and late 1958.[2][5] He also frequently saw her wrestle in Memphis.[1] Their last date was one week before he left to join the army, and they never saw each other again.

I am pretty sure that Elvis died in August of 1977, I think it was August 14. I wasn’t a huge fan of his but I remember the news of his death had a huge impact on me. In 1982 I read a biography about Elvis written by Albert Goldman, that was the first time that I heard about his interest in women’s wrestling.

I had heard (grain of salt considering the source) that Elvis had some private shows arranged by Magnificent Moolah, and some of the participants were underaged, so I wouldn't say it was that tame.

Only parts I can confirm is that Moolah did have some underage girls at her school (which isn't terribly unusual,) that there have been allegations of Moolah pimping out her girls, and that Elvis himself did have an interest in young girls, so much that even young fans of his were put off by it. Only thing I am not sure about is the Elvis-Moolah connection.

A big part of Andy Kaufman's act was his Elvis impersonation, I assume he knew about Elvis' wrestling kink.

hi.. I've read several biographies on Elvis. And he wasn't a saint, but I don't think he was uniquely strange.
I believe the issue is more that (because of his intense level of fame) every aspect of Elvis' life was basically revealed and analyzed. I don't think most of us would look great if EVERYTHING we did or believed became public record.
