Do you Consider Yourself an Alpha?
Reading through posts on this website, I notice that a lot of men on here seem to consider themselves alpha males. Yet, you would think that with our fetish, we would be overwhelmingly beta males, seeing as a lot of us enjoy being dominated by women. I’m not passing judgement on anybody, or saying that one is better than the other, but doesn’t that seem somewhat contradictory?
I am a member of another site that primarily deals with male chastity and Dom/sub relationships, and as you would expect, the overwhelming majority of men on the forums are betas. And most of the females are alphas. I would just like to hear people’s (male or female) input on the subject. What do you consider yourself? And why do you feel that way? |

Re: Do you Consider Yourself an Alpha?
I do not really think about whether i am an alpha male or not.
What i do know is that i have no desire to be dominated by women. For what it is worth i really like women to sit on me -the more the merrier. |

Re: Do you Consider Yourself an Alpha?
Totally alpha. But love alpha women. But not in a relationship. That's why I'm single.
Become totally beta on the mats (with a female) |

Re: Do you Consider Yourself an Alpha?
I don't really know if I want or even can proclaim myself as an "Alpha" honestly. Perhaps it's the pomposity of such a statement that bothers me but I would say the best way to measure where I exist on the spectrum of dominance would be the relationships that I have had with women. I live in Florida and I have had a number of Latina girlfriends and they come from a culture that places a lot of emphasis on machismo and male strength. I did fine with those girls and they can be fairly difficult to control (lmao). In the bedroom with them, I did fine and felt like most of them liked me to kind of call the shots, so to speak. With that said, I never really felt totally comfortable in those relationships with the Latinas as I always felt, truth be told, like I was exhausted from trying to keep up with them. Now with more "vanilla" all American white girls, I feel that I have almost always been the dominant one in the relationship. But that isn't really the greatest indicator considering how America and Western society in general has become extremely soft for the most part. I really do feel that most of my relationships, however, do not start off with girls being attracted to me because I'm an "Alpha"; I think a lot of them look at me with curiosity because I tend to be introverted and solemn with people at first. I don't know man, I definitely feel very masculine but I don't know if most people would designate me an "Alpha". I think that more reflects that state of our society though and what it views as an "Alpha" right now. Some people think the John Gotti types are Alphas. The very loud and arrogant type. I more idolize guys like William Faulkner as the pinnacle of masculinity. A warrior poet.
My father, who I did not really get along with, was undoubtedly an Alpha male. A military man and imposing physique. Considering that he was my male archetype, I feel safe in saying that I probably inherited a lot of his Alpha attributes but I'm definitely a lot different than he was. Speaking honestly, it seems the majority of the stories on this forum revolve around "Beta Male" scenarios and I just cannot get into them at all. It actually really turns me off. I find a lot of it pretty fucking weird actually. Videos that I watch ABSOLUTELY have to have an "Alpha" or at least a strong man getting trounced by a superior woman. For example I like movies like Basic Instinct and Goldeneye that have male victims representing paragon's of masculinity in figures such as a wealthy rock star or an Admiral. I think what really turns me on is a scenario of an unstoppable force meeting an immovable object and kind of watching them square off- does that make sense to you? Strength devouring strength I guess you could say. One of my biggest gripes about Femdom porn is that most of the material uses men that don't really have an impressive physicality or image of strength. So it really causes a lot of the videos to be worthless to me unfortunately. Trying to explain my sexuality regarding my proclivities for Femdom is a giant pain in the ass my friend but this is definitely one of the more interesting threads that has been started as of late. Thanks for posting. |

Re: Do you Consider Yourself an Alpha?
If the alpha/beta dichotomy has some reason to be considered realistic, I really don't think that sexual fantasies strictly respect your inner nature or attitude. Anyway, everyone I know says I am an alpha...and infact I love mixed wrestling but totally dislike bdsm roleplay. Maybe that is because in mixed wrestling you may pretend to lose to a better athlete without spontaneously submit to her superiority (which I would never do)...I don't know. Anyway in the last months I am changing the perspective about Mixed wrestling too (I think that I don't like to see myself anymore as a "victim", but just as a witness)

Re: Do you Consider Yourself an Alpha?
This is interesting to me. I've always been conflicted in sharing my fetish with a woman. Outside of my fetish I'm an Alpha male. I SWAT, tough guy, all that crap I have to be for my job, and the way I grew up. But, I have an overwhelming desire to be made to submit in a wrestling match by a woman. The vast majority of women though are attracted to the Alpha personality I am outside my fetish. So, Its like, hey I know you are into me because you are attracted to me being this big tough guy, but I want you to make be beg and submit to you. Doesn't work very well.
