Default Desperate measures? Mwz and mwp releasing old videos as new?

Mixed Wrestling Zone and Mixed Wrestling Planet used to be somewhat decent sites, but over the past 1.5 years, I've noticed MWZ releasing old videos from Dirty Wrestling Pit as new videos and even going 2 week stretches without releasing a new videos in addition to that. Mixed Wrestling Planet now seems to be following suit with such underhanded tricks like not releasing new videos some weeks even though members are paying for a monthly membership for at least 4 new videos a week

And now they have some weird video sharing program with each other, where they are releasing MWP is releasing old videos from MWZ as new videos and vice versa.

Since members are paying a monthly membership, is it kind of unscrupulous to be releasing videos that are like 5-6 years old from another site as new videos?

Is business that bad that they have to resort to such corner cutting tactics? Have the mighty fallen?

I've noticed the drop off in video quality of Mixed Wrestling Zone over the past 2 years or so with new videos being released at longer and longer intervals in addition to reusing content from its sister site DWP. MWP kept up a much better pace for a while, but now it is using the same tactics as they are apparently in league with each other with video sharing.

You'll notice a Skylar Rene vs Chad video MWP just released on their member site that I remember seeing on MWZ 3 years ago.

I understand how scheduling can slip once in a while, but the amount of stalling and releasing filler seems to be increasing as time goes one. Is it worth paying almost $30 for a membership if this keeps up?

Because if this goes on and we only start getting a new video 1 every 3 weeks, then it might be cheaper to wait until they come on c4s a opposed to maintaining a monthly membership year after year.

Is it even worth having a membership anymore?

If you are new member to the sites then its probably not a big deal to you, but if you've been a member for years and you already have all these old videos we're kinda getting the shaft.

Did they know some people would get upset with these tactics or did they actually think no one would notice?

Is it kinda underhanded what they are doing? What do you guys think?

If what you are saying is true ( and I've no reason to doubt it ), then members should vote with their feet and stop subscribing to Producers who don't honour their obligations.

"even though members are paying for a monthly membership for at least 4 new videos a week".

Possibly, you mean per month but still that's not accurate. In their "join" page there is this very clear quote:

"We offer a minimum of 40 new videos every year updating 3 weeks per month."

40 videos a year is certainly not a video release every week. In my experience it is more videos, possibly 46-48 per year and several bonuses. In the past few weeks they have been doing double releases - although some are from DWP - which is really good for me because I am not a member there.

MWZ has released 27 original videos by my count, (not used in DWP) or elsewhere, in the last 8 months and over 10 videos as bonuses from DWP. I am very particular about that and actually wrote to the owner regarding this matter. Why don't you do the same?
So what if they are using a few videos from other sites? Plenty of original content there. Well, different people, different tastes so there you go. Been a member with them on and off for the past 5 years. They have their ups and downs, sure. Who doesn't? Only site that offers so much with a single membership fee as far as I know and they have been one of the very few who are consistent and reliable over the years. Well worth my $130 for six months' membership. Don't know about MWP as I have only bought a few of their clips from Clips4Sale. Never joined them.

Won't comment on the actual content because as it is often very wisely said, a man's garbage is another's treasure. It is fine for my tastes.

You essentially just made the point for me. You can say it's not a big deal to you because you aren't a member of DWP or MWP, so you aren't really wasting your money on old videos.

If you are not a long time fan of both sites its not so bad, but if you have been a member of both sites for over 5 years in addition to Dirty Wrestling Pit, which is the boat I am in, you are getting boned.

As for the join page, if you compared it to one from 5 years ago to one 2 years ago, you'd probably see a difference as obviously the release rate has been cut down and they would have changed the join page to accommodate that.

In addition, if you don't release a new video in 2 weeks within a month, how can you make the minimum of 3 within a month unless you're releasing multiple new videos in 1 week, which they have haven't done in over 5 years?

Does that make any sense?

As for contacting Theo, I tired of trying that route years ago. At first he took the criticism in stride but in 2013 he pretty much said he didn't care about what I had to say, but again, I could tolerate the ups and downs in the quality of the videos as long as I felt it was worth it overall. I'm well on my way to believing it might well not be.

I'd noticed some duplication of videos the last time I was a member a year or so ago. I'm not a regular member, but I agree with you. If I was, I'd think about leaving.

Even with the duplication I think MWZ / FWZ / DWP still far exceeds most sites out there cause you get many downloads for a 1 month subscription. I still rank the site highly but I've never understood their model where you can join for 1 month, download everything and leave. I'd usually stay on for 2 months just to feel I paid closer to my fair share, but I think a lot of people join the site and leave a month later, but that doesn't really address your point. I think your point is correct.

I'll go to Femwin maybe once a year and buy a few videos. I get a lot more from MWZ for less money.

License, again you make my point for me. If you are only there for a month or 2 to load up on videos with a membership and then bounce, it's really not a bad deal at all. It's actually still a good deal. But if you're a continual member year after year? About the only time downloading all the old videos would come in handy is if your hard drives died.

And I don't think you will be able to download all the videos back to the first video anymore. A lot of the old catalogue has been removed. So a brand new person on the site could still load up on a lot of videos with a 1 month membership, which is all well and good for them, but for long time fans there is less and less benefit.

You haven't replied to a single point of my arguments but that's fine by me. I am not here to defend MWZ or any other producer. I am simply saying that their content is fine by me in respect of quality and quantity for my $130 per six months. On the other hand, I am not here to agree with you either. I think LicensetoKill's point of view pretty much summons up what I feel about them too. A lot of content for a low fee. No individual shop/clips4sales store can compete with MWZ from a consumer's point of view about quantity of content and subsequent value for money. It happens that I also really like their content so it's not just a money issue for me.

Also, if you are not happy with them, why don't you simply cancel your membership and go back when you feel good about it? Or not. Plenty of options out there.

You kinda contradict yourself by saying that you contacted "Theo" back in 2013 and "he didn't care about what I had to say". Okay, but back in 2013 according to you, there was not such issue, right? I mean in regard to releases. It must have been something else. So, how do you know what he has to say about it now? And how can you complain about what they offered 5 years ago when your membership is valid for now? Things change. Air travel is not the same like the 70's, right? We all still fly though. We just try to make the best choice based on what is happening now. And now, MWZ has some pretty good content to enjoy that's affordable and very easy to get once you are a member.

I noticed that MWZ has a 're-release' video of a NHB match between Clay and Jet that was originally released on Monica's site in 2010.

One of the many videos coproduced with Monica's studio and MWZ in their many cooperations between 2009 and 2011. Had a great time in one of their events when I saw live Tia taking on Ariel X. Great match!
Originally released in 2009 at MWZ and Monica's Clips4sale store, MWZ re-released the match in question (Jet vs Clay) a couple of weeks ago in 1080p. Actually, that match prompted me to write to them as I mentioned in one of my earlier posts, as I have missed some of their 2009 and 2010 matches when they took them out a couple of years ago or so but at the same time I want to watch new stuff as a member. Can't say I was not happy with the release of an old video in 1080p, although beatdowns are not my cup of tea in general.

Slaydo, not to justify the behavior you describe, but my suspicion is this boils down to money, or lack thereof.

Bottom line is, producers of fetish and porn videos are losing money because customers no longer feel the need to pay for their products. A ton of pirated material is available for free, and new video releases quickly join those ranks.

I'm just a guy with a fetish, not a producer. But if nobody solves this problem soon, the industry for fetish videos could go away before our eyes.
