Default Sports Review Wrestling

Posted this is the Judell Dulong Thread, but thought SRW deserves it's own.

SRW introduced me to female wrestling.

Well I found SRW, so Amazon & Judell Dulong I only discovered, much much later thanks to the internet and loved the photosets and the descriptive accounts of the matches, though obviously many of them were fiction.

Just found this for fans of Sports Review Wrestling.

also this is a great site too for the pictorials and history

After SRW, I would find magazines in adult bookstores and then the first videos I found were a couple of VSL (not very good) along with very fake Golden Girls. Of course I'd see women sporadically on TV during WWF and AWA shows and yes sometimes found GLOW.

As I've said elsewhere the first real video (or so I thought) was Beatrice Goffin vs. Ali Day and then I was hooked on her and comment often there.

Great memories. First issue I bought was January 1977, Gail vs Kyla. The store on my corner always got them in on the first Tuesday of the month and I couldn't wait.

I remember something stirring and just had to buy it. I was taking a 5 hour train trip and remember reading all the articles anticipating the AHW one. If i remember mine was Denise vs. Lenora

But Cynara captivated me and Marguerita (Su Ling) had the best body......

Those ads in the “real” wrestling magazines are how I discovered this fetish. This was before the internet, and although I was just a teen and couldn’t afford to actually buy any of the videos, I sure got a lot of mileage out of the ads.

I remember an apartment house wrestling pictorial i saw in one of the wrestling magazines way back in very late 1972 or early 1973,if I recall correctly.I still remember buying it from the magazine section late at night at a Time Saver convenience store in Metairie,Louisiana. The photo spread article was typical of those back in the 70s which were f vs f wearing bikinis. The new approach to the female wrestling articles that appeared in the wrestling magazines was when Judell and The Amazon came on the scene around 1976 or 1977 that had a big impact on the industry.

Yes, it was the early 70’s for me also and the discovery of apartment house wrestling that got me hooked on this stuff. I remember riding my bike to the local drug store in my early teens to get the latest copy. Then once getting the latest edition home keeping it under my mattress or the rug in my bedroom, so my siblings and mother wouldn’t find it .
Kids have it so darn easy these day all they need to do is watch Spankbang on their smart phone - where is the adventure and trill in that ?

I remember those well, I probably bought 15 or 20 back in the day. I think I still have 3 or 4. Doesn't really hold up to today where there's so much content, but at the time, it was one of the best sources.
