The mighty China doll who knocked Francis Ngannou off his feet just for practice has now regained her title by out-wrestling the wrestler Carla Esparza. Would anyone dare do a session with Zhang?

Zhang Weili is the female UFC fighter that I find more entartaining to watch, I'm happy to see her regaining the title.

I think this is an appropriate video to celebrate her amazing combination of strenght, skills and straight-up ferociousness:

Personally I lean towards "no" ... I get vibes of feminine charm from Weili. I went to Uni with quite a few Chinese exchange students and most of the girls were usually tomboyishly or conservatively dressed. Jeans and sweaters were normal, but wore make-up and had long hair.

Weili rarely posts stuff on her social media away from training/fighting related material, but when you see her away from the cage, she can be pretty femme.

I honestly think Weili cut her hair to appease Chinese media nut jobs that pressured her with stuff like "Rose cut her hair and got better, Rose beat you, so why don't you cut your hair to get better? You care more about your hair or winning?" ... I remember Tennis player Li Na being treated similarly by the Chinese media. Truly bizarre stuff.

Like Shevchenko, she is laser-focussed on her career and training. Plus, let's be honest, most "good men" (rank and file corporate guys) or male fighters/celebs would not find these women appealing when they have other options.

Even if she is a lesbian, it's unlikely that she'll come out publicly. In China, I'm told that it's still common that people will just "live a lie" to please their family, country, etc. There's a lot of pressure to get a good education, give the parents grandkids, etc.

If she is, she's probably quite envious of people like Andrade, Nunes, Pennington, etc, who are openly lesbians.
