I can't give you an exact time but it's somewhere in the middle. I didn't give it the full treatment in my other thread because:
- the editing is a bit too quick
- it's FvF
- it's in the dark yet again
- it becomes increasingly weapons-based, and
- at the end a guy stops the fight as though they're a couple of five-year-olds arguing over who has the prettiest party dress (and I know that REALLY irks our FvF lovers anyway)!

(Apart from a couple of experts on this Board ) How many people must have admired the blonde judoka in this iconic B&W photograph without knowing her identity?

Angelfist was a “remake” of a 1981 movie starring Jillian Kesner (1940-2007) called Firecracker. Its’ mostly known for several fighting scenes. In one, she takes on a couple of thugs wearing a nightie, while in another she fights a guy while topless.

And I think that Firecracker, was itself, a remake of a 1974 movie called “TNT Jackson.” That movie starred former Playboy Playmate Jeanne Bell.

There's an episode of Three's Company where Jillian's character has some sort of grudge (another misunderstanding no doubt lol) with Jack and beats him up in the bistro kitchen he's working at. Although it's intended to be comedy, it's still a fairly good fight scene otherwise.

I love it when a female combatant gradually becomes more confident as the balance starts to shift in her favour.

"I'm in big trouble here - so I might as well give it a go instead of just being shot."
"Hey, he's not so tough after all."
"Right, that's enough - you're going down and not getting back up."
"That'll teach you never to underestimate a woman, even when she's bare-handed."

Thanks. The plots of these kinds of films do tend to run together, but I never realized that genealogy. It makes sense to keep reusing the same basic plot with new people in new settings. Ii's about time for another remake!

This dynamic is good. I also love it when it goes in the opposite direction, when the male is the underdog and the tough evil female starts out arrogantly confident that she is stronger, faster, and better than her foe. The fight begins and she is winning until she makes a costly mistake and/or he gets lucky, and we see superiority turn to frustration, and then gradually to determination as she is weakened, then to desperation as she sees herself weakening faster than her foe, then to fear.

You are so spot on! While not a re-make, the same themes were re-used (again!!) in a 1994 movie called “Angel of Destruction” which stared Maria Ford.

Jillian Kesner also used her martial arts in movies like “StarHops” (1978) and “Raw Force” (1982).

So, for those of keeping score at home, that makes four movies: “TNT Jackson” (1974), “Firecracker” (1981), “Angelfist” (1993) and “Angel of Destruction” (1994) which were comprised of mostly the same plot. Apparently Cirio H. Santiago (1936-2008, producer) had thing for the “topless” mixed karate fight!

Santiago also produced such titles as “Savage!”, “Ebony, Ivory and Jade”, “Naked Vengeance” and “Hustler Squad.”
