Default Making yourself harder to KO

Hi guys. As I get older (mid30s) I find im tapping out to easy to choke holds. I feel I used to be able to resist and suffer more before going out, now it seems especially on the right side of my neck a few seconds and I'm tapping.
Is there a way to reverse this? Make it harder to KO and so I can last and take it longer ?
I hope this isn't a dumb question.
Thanks for any advice

the answer is easy dude. we used to do neck exercises for wrestling. building out the neck muscles shields the artery, dispersing the pressure over a wider area of the neck, meaning it takes more pressure to constrict it. so its literally if you just want put in the time to do them a few times a week.

also trap exercises work the back of the neck too, helps to keep everything looking a little symmetrical (should you do the neck stuff). you'll look like the guy who always skips leg day if you really go ham on the neck work, so adding a few trap stuff balances it out.

I know this because to this day I incorporate them into my work outs and its insane how much pressure i can take before going out, which is extremley rare.

How much pressure/power does your average opponent have to exert in order to put you out?

I can take full pressure and not get koed. I tap tho, not like I can handle it after so much pressure from blood collecting around the head. I'm a bigger guy with a thicker neck. its not about pressure per se... its more about putting the neck in the right spot so the main point of pressure is on the artery so its gets clamped. if the main point is not on the artery I will not get koed. I rarely get Koed and can 99.999% tell when it going to happen, because I allow my self to put my neck in the right spot to do so.

I asked Megan Jones if muscular dudes are harder to KO in a headscissor and she said yes and that she hates that. I am a pretty muscular and young dude although I haven’t done much neck training despite the wolf howls exercise (google it, it’s exactly how it sounds) and I guess straining my neck to be stronger from lifting more weights. I seriously think Most session girls would have a hard time putting me out in a headscissor. I have yet to have a session though as I’m a young adult.

Bonus note: working your traps and thickening them makes it harder for your opponent to KO you with a blow. The KO usually comes from the whiplash causing your brain to slam against your skull, so strong traps help prevent your head from whipping back.

there r 3 easy ones.

1) lie on your back and simply lift your head bring your chin to your chest. repeat till you cant do any more.

2) lie on your back, put your head to one side with your ear almost touching the ground, the make a semi circle on your chest area, where your chin is contently touching your chest area and bring your head over to the other side, so when your head is half way across, the chin is touching your chest where is in exersices one. make sense? then do that till you can't do any more.

3) lie on your back, this time start with your head like it is in postion 2, but this time visualize bringing your ear thats not on the ground, and trying to bring it your peck muscle. so if your rotated to the right, the left ear is trying to get to your left peck
