At this tournament, Helen fought with Momo and won, unfortunately the video is removed. Of course, neither Petra nor Tiffany was there. The tournament was DWW against Virago, it is not clear why girls from the same team fought among themselves? And I didn't see much of a difference in technique, in the stalls they tried to get to the scissors faster.
I didn’t even see Hana’s fight against Petra and Tiffany, but everyone says it’s the best. It's strange not to go against the strong, but against Helen, I think there was a fright.

Don't know, but I figure Denise wrestled Helen because she was the largest DWW girl at that convention. I don't believe Petra or Tiffany were there in 1998. Denise was only 19 years old wrestling a 28 year old Helen, who like fvsfforever mentioned above had BJJ experience and it showed in that match. It really wasn't a fair match up because the DWW girls only knew free style wrestling and Helen refused to not use her BJJ moves. I also remember reading that she used front choke holds that were not agreed upon prior to the match. I have the EU Pal video of the match, which was recorded by DWW founder Gunter Rottensteiner and you can hear him saying a few times that Denise was being choked with what they perceived as an illegal move.

I've always been fascinated by this as well. She was a world class boxer who actually fought for the world title. Was also a silver medalist in kick boxing, but like you said she never wrestled any of the DWW girls. Maybe she was so good that no one wanted to challenge her. Her only matches were against Helen and the great Raquel, who she wrestled twice at DWW. So she basically went up against the best of the best and did quite well for having zero BJJ technique. Mind you, when she wrestled Helen at the 1999 convention, Helen was 150lbs of pure muscle at that point on top of having a BJJ brown belt. Elena was an absolute warrior to even take up that challenge and be able to wrestle her for almost 20 minutes. Not many women could last that long with Helen, especially in such a competitive live ring match.
Hana was great and the Momo match was fantastic, as was the Helen Elena match. Saw Elena in one DWW boxing match annihilate an opponent. She was very good and very strong.

Raquel was unreal. Tiffany though she was the one to handle Petra (until Andy could too for FD), I read at other times could be beaten and was an interesting one too.

Helen took on 2 wrestlers at once, Julie Squeeze & Devon.
This is a special 2 vs. 1 handicap match from the Women Wrestling Convention 2008 featuring the legendary Helen Von Mott taking on two skilled wrestlers at the same time. Helen demonstrates just how good she is in this evenly fought battle against Julie Squeeze and Devon.

Here are some thumbnail pics, but you have to pay to see the larger ones.

I don't know who won but it was probably Helen. She mentioned it on her yahoo group, she thought Julie was strong and good, she was the toughest of the two Helen faced, Devon not so much.

Helen won 2-1, but Devon actually got her to tap to a head scissor move while Julie was holding her down. At this point Helen had a BJJ black belt and rarely fought other females one on one. She had one more match against Cara, but it was mostly a friendly sparring match with Helen showing her all the moves.

Tiffany actually wrestled at one of the conventions against a bigger American girl named Cody and she pretty much had her way with her. It would've really been interesting to see her go up against Helen at that time. I'm still not sure if Tiffany or Petra would've given her more trouble. Tiffany was taller, faster and had better technique, but Petra was a monster once she got on top of you.

It turns out that Virago was stronger than DWW, what difference does it make in what style of wrestling, scissors are prohibited in freestyle wrestling. I read that Hana was the best in the tournament, but how? Where did the organizers look? If anyone has the results of the tournament, I will be glad and grateful.

Momo vs. Hana was one of the best matches one could see. Perfect example of strength & skill. I.e. not FBB strength or BJJ skill......

Stills from the Helen vs Momo match. I'd love to see more Momo photos if anyone has any! I loved the enthusiasm she wrestled with.

But I read she was turned off by the sexuality associated with it and stopped wrestling shortly thereafter (may have been due what she saw at the convention?).

That's too bad about Momo but make sense. Think she could have been one of the greats if she stuck around.

She may have known what she was getting into and being paid for it.
