Re: Strong is the new skinny
An article from Another newspaper today.
It's in Swedish, but google translate makes this: How to shape your dream body "How to get more defined" I am a girl of 32 years ago a year working out at the gym a couple of times a week and jogs around once a week. Previously, I have always been a little plump, but now training started to produce results and I feel much stronger today. I am a normal fit now but have thus far from a superdeffad body. Now I am still very eager to get clearer and more defined muscles especially in the abdomen, buttocks and arms. Do you have some really good tips for me who is normal Fit on how I should go to road to success with this and make me more muscular? I realize that it may take time, but if I get about a change for the summer it would also be great! Thank you advance! Sandra, Lund Answer: What fun to workout starts giving results! For you to achieve your desired goal requires not only with that you exercise at the gym and jogging once a week. When it comes to getting more well-defined muscles, or "shaping" body as many words there which, it is always ultimately one and the same thing, diet. It is subcutaneous fat that hides our muscles and to get rid of it you should expend more energy than what you get in you. It does not mean that you should stop eating, or just remove something from your current diet. But yes, we should all take away unnecessary additives, sweets and generally unhealthy food from your plate! Do not pull down too much on energy intake. You should be able to work and continue training and above all the training should be to deliver results. please contact a nutrition counselor, it is hard to do a good diet schedule on their own. As for training is low heavier weight training almost always preferable and varied running; for example, running with shorter intervals. I recommend basic exercises like deadlifts and squats in various forms, making them more weekly. I see no reason why you would not have time To get more well-defined muscles for the summer! Dajana |

[Only Registered Users Can See LinksClick Here To Register] One more big news who confirm the trend that strong woman in mainstreammedia is attractive now. The big prize "woman of the year" (in sweden), was this year won by Charlotte Kalla. As media present the news they show a pic of Kalla in a full double bicep flex. And yes, her biceps is impressive :-) |

Re: Strong is the new skinny
True. Like I said in the "girls getting stronger" thread - it is now desirable for women to have six-pack abs and more muscle tone to their arms and shoulders. Look at the amount of pics online of young girls taking "selfies" showing off their abs and striking biceps poses, proud of how muscluar and strong they are.

Re: Strong is the new skinny
It's a big trend here in the UK as well.
I do worry that it does err towards the aesthetic goals, but if it gets more girls/women to use their bodies for physical endeavours then I'm all for it

Certainly more welcome than the "fat acceptance" movement!

Re: Strong is the new skinny
If you're on Instagram, my Explore page gives me a dozen new Swedish girls posting gym shots every day ... Seems absolutely huge over there
And reflects society, it seems ... Apparently an enormous number of Swedish men are marrying Thai brides - reaction to this real hardcore feminist movement over there |
