To me it also looks like he is trying pretty hard.

I don't think he is making deliberate mistakes because he is trying too much to keep his balance in a spazzy way even when the throw is already 90% done and there is no way to stop it at that point, which is the behaviour you usually have when you don't want to lose the spar instead of the one you have when you don't mind giving the opponent opportunities to help him improve.

If you are thinking it because you find strange than a "black belt" would be thrown that easily, you have to be aware that in Japan the Judo belt system works completely different than in America and Europe.

The have only two belts, white and black, and a black belt is not held in high regard, it just means you have mastered the basics and you are pretty good.
You can reach it in 2/3 years of consistent training, it's basically the equivalent of a BJJ blue belt.

Some clubs seems to also include a brown belt but to be honest I don't know exactly how it works:

The point however is that in Japan a Judo black belt doesn't symbolize in-depth technical expertise like in the western world.
I don't think the guy is a complete dunce. He's at least fit and in good shape and has probably been training for a number of years. His balance is decent and doesn't go down that easily, like some bumbling oafs would but like I said, she seems faster than him from what we see here. It could be that he's trying hard physically but mentally, deliberately making some mistakes/openings to "test" her.

When he gets thrown the first 2 times, he slaps the ground. Not sure if this is out of emotional frustration/anger from being beaten, recognition (applauding a good move) or just a habit he has before getting back up from the mat.

I never implied otherwise, he is clearly fit/athletic and he is also pretty good technically otherwise he would not be a black belt.
I just said he is not necessarily as technical or experienced as you would expect from a western black belt.

It could be and only him knows for sure but like I said I don't see any clue to assume it from his behaviour.

I saw the “trip” @ 1:19 and it was so quick I couldn’t work out what had happened. Slowed it down to 0.25 and looks like she did a feint for uchi mata and then took him down like a sack of cement with a trip/push behind the back of the knee. Never seen that before & really skillfully done. Just gentle, just devastating. Asian ladies are true experts of the gentle art.

Female MMA fighter wrestling with a large and muscular male bodybuilder (from 8:20 to 11:15).

They are going easy and fooling around but it's still really cool and impressive to see how she pick him up in the air effortlessly.

Second part, they wrestle from 7:00 to 9:15 and she once again pick him up like a toddler.
They also arm wrestle from 3:30 to 3:45 but he won handily.

Pretty intense BJJ sparring session between a man and a woman.
At the start of the video she is on the bottom but he was not able to pass her guard and he ended up getting swept and reversed shortly before the bell rang:

They are good but to be honest they would have been 100X times better if the guy was more aggressive and determined to win, I'm fairly confident she would have still whooped him.

Unfortunately is rare to see much bigger untrained guys go all out against smaller trained women in this kind of "friendly challenge" youtube videos because:

-They are afraid to hurt them, which most of the times is less of a concern than they realize, they would often be shocked to find out that they can't hurt them even if they try to do it.

-It would be really embarassing for them to spaz out like a maniac, give 100% effort and still lose, there will be no excuses left, while this way they can play the card that they just played around to be a gentleman and most people would believe them and they would still give them the benefit of the doubt that they would win in a real match.
