Great accomplishment, however sometimes at tournaments the favorites/ the best fighters are missing because of illness and injury. Or they have a bad day and loose to opponents they would defeat usually.

She is cute and she looks quite buff for a young lady.

Fuck that shit, man - there's no "however". If you're not able to compete on a given day, because you were sick or injured or because Aunt Jenny died and your mom is making you go to the funeral, that's too fucking bad. It sucks that you weren't able to compete, but in an individual competition, your absence doesn't diminish the accomplishments of those who got there.

This athlete beat the opponents in her bracket and won the medal. That's the way it works.

She won, anything beyond that is just an excuse. She looks strong ,confident and probably worked hard for years to earn this. Im proud of her

It is the 106 lbs class. These are all boys too small and weak to play any other sport. They are about the size of normal sized kids are in like 4th grade. Still a nice accomplishment.

you also need to ask how many times she "won" because of a boy refused to compete against her.

Girls bodies do mature physically quicker than boys. I don't think it's totally uncommon that some of the bigger girls would win against smaller boys aged 14-16 if intergender competition was a norm.

It's usually not done and it's really rather unfair to the boys those ages. If they go hard and win they're bullying a girl and people hate them for winning. If they lose they get mocked for being a sissy and a loser. It's just a complete lose-lose proposition and most good parents and coaches will immediately pull boys out of those situations, as well as the more popular male students would never even be targeted in the first place. So what happens is the wimpiest boys who are unpopular and nobody likes sort of get sacrificed for that.

Sometimes talented writers will tap into that and write about it. I think it can be interesting when they do.

I'm not sure what more you can take out of it than this young girl won in this situation. We're not going to re-write domestic violence laws or change all of sports because of this, and it would be absurd to do so.

You also need to ask what kind of "man" would ask such a question.

Every single time. And it's disgusting that she'd be subjected to such a disgraceful failure of sportsmanship.

It's that foolish, shortsighted, and ultimately destructive behavior of abusing boys in this manner that needs to change. The idea that we should prevent our daughters from doing things because boys may get mistreated is simply answering one set of abuse with another set of abuse.
