well, from my experience .. in my judo classes when i was younger say 5th grade.. many girls pinned me, some same age, some older.. then in 6-8th grade when i was in wrestling camps and clubs I had to wrestle girls around my age and weight class. I won some and lost some.. and i knew i was stronger than a few girls but they pinned me. so it does happen in school age levels more than you think.. at least in wrestling.. i would say females can do fairly well vs males in bjj where they are high ranks because they can use submission holds, and everybody submits or passes out if caught.. bones and airways act the same... tbo i think i would lose a female Olympic wrester who is smaller than me today..

Of course, when some of us, guys, have believed that a girl can face us on equal terms, then the consequence is this!
But tomorrow that I will compete against a girl on my tournament I will make her submit in a few seconds.
(Oh, and personally, I disagree with the idea of mixed wrestling, it doesnt have anything to be challenged for)

Women and girls winning fights or grappling matches (or even winning whole male tournaments) against men and boys is definitely a reality, altough uncommon.

The lesson you learn from BJJ is that, without training and 1,000s of mat hours, no one's a good grappler .. Gender's such an insignificant factor, the whole idea that that's dividing line is schoolboy mentality.

What's rare is men actually testing themselves .. The proportion who fall apart as soon as a situation feels too real, and the person you're against doesn't just give up instantly .. And there are girls in every town and city now putting themselves in that position daily, and getting really good at dealing with it.
