This match in particular was really incredible. Sara was clearly better and stronger than Miesha. She almost KOed her in the 1st round and was cruising to an easy victory. Then she made 2 small mistakes late in round 2 and early in round 3 that costed her the fight. All the credit to Miesha who was able tocapitalize on that...boy she has some heart and determination...resilient girl!

By the way this outcome is really unfortunate, since Sara showed a really improved striking and and toons of improvement to be the most credible challenge to Ronda in a potential rematch. This loss was sooo fortuitous, but it's a huge blow for her career. I don't know if she will have the will power to regroup and get back to her quest for a rematch with Ronda (she is 34 already). That would be a real shame cause her striking is coming along shining and she is one of the few girl has shwn real ko power in the 135 division.

I disagree, when she gets swept and hold down plus nearly submitted by Tate NO WAY could she beat Ronda.
This fight would be over as soon as it hits the mat, also Ronda has this one punch KO power now.
I was impressed by Miesha, she made Sara look like a little girl in the last round.
I think she is stronger than she looks, she may be not as muscular as McMann but is clearly taller.

Sometimes the above site has issues, so if you have firefox you can add this EXTENSION - "Download YouTube Videos as MP4 1.7.31" in firefox's add-ons manager and there will be a a download link under every youtube video page "Download" that has always worked for me

I said she could be Ronda's most credible challenge...not that she would beat her.

And yes, Sara has many holes in her MMA game, otherwise she would have easily beaten a clearly overmatched opponent like Miesha Tate. She has problems with submission grappling, wich Ronda excels at, and she has yet to adapt her wrestling game to MMA, leaving a lot of options for the other girls to attack her when she goes for a takedown.

That said, she is clearly the most gifted and strong athlete besides Ronda @135. I'd say Cat is good too, but the punch that Sara threw to Miesha last night breaking her facial bone in two places is ABSLOUTELY SCARY. No girl in WMMA has shown that kind of power, not even Ronda that I agree on having a clearly improved striking.
I'd say Cyborg has that kind of power or Gina Carano had it (but they are both bigger than 135ers). Also Holly Holm has world class striking, her kicks are awesome but still lacks that one punch ko power.

So that's what I meant by saying Sara not advancing in the rankings at 135 was pretty unfortunate for the sake of the division.
