Unhappy Mainstream media photoshop female athletes to look weaker and smaller
I've seen this several times before , how mainstream media photoshop female athletes to look weaker and smaller :-(

Today, Ronda Rousey was really pissed on her instagram when she noticed that a picture she used from the Fallon TV-show had manipulated her arms to look smaller.

She has great attitude about it and dont accept these photoshop modification of her to look weaker.

THis story has been headlines in Swedens biggest newspaper today :-)

"I have to make an apology to everyone - I was sent a picture to share on social for Fallon that was altered without me knowing to make my arms look smaller. I won't say by who - I know it was done with severely misplaced positive intentions - but this goes against everything I believe and I am extremely proud of every inch of my body. And I can assure you all it will never happen again. I could not be more appalled and hope you all forgive me"

I've seen this done to many other female athetes also (Serena Williams, swimmers, track runnders and so on) and it really suck.

A lot of elite (I mean top class, not the agency) models have visible 4/6 packs that get smoothed over. Not surprising once you hear about a lot of their fitness regiments. Doutzen Kroes is an obvious example, she was a speed skater and still keeps herself in great shape, though you wouldn't know it.

No, but it got almost a fullpage in Swedens biggest newspaper.

But Swedens most important news today was of course the latest news about "melodifestivalen"
(eurovision song festival). Today it was about how angry the singer in "After Dark" who ended up at place seven (last place) yeasterday...

Popular magazines do this kind of thing all the time, and it annoys the crap out of me. I used to subscribe to Maxim Magazine and they would sometimes feature female athletes or celebrities and they would alter their photos by airbrushing out their muscles! Apparently the editors dont know what is considered sexy in todays society.
