Quick Cuts With Scissors (Movies & TV)
Yes, another week goes by and I open another thread for my DVD captures. But the feedback on the other posts has been good so far, and I really do keep unearthing scenes that don't fit with the criteria elsewhere. Fingers crossed this will be the last new one I need.
Here we'll be seeing brief scissor scenes from genres other than action -such as comedy, drama and horror. The scenarios are likely to be played for fun rather than anything else, so there won't be much neck-snapping and windpipe crushing. Most of it will be rare (no 'War Of The Roses' for example). But to begin with here's something that isn't very obscure. I expected it to be well-known but neither the Title nor its 'Starr' appear via the Search function so maybe some of the younger members won't have seen it before. |

Re: Quick Cuts With Scissors (Movies & TV)
LOL, I remember this.... I think it's title is "Caveman" and was quite funny.... the legs belong to Barbara Bach of "Spy Who Loved Me" fame. I think she and Ringo were involved or possibly married IRL. She clamped him in her grip while she and her brutish husband were sleeping. The idea of being caught in a scissor while the girl is napping is cute.... I recall a couple of videos that used this theme.
Thanks for the post! |

Yes, you're spot on with everything. I was going to add in my original post that having enjoyed himself so much, Ringo at least did the decent thing and married Barbara - just 2 days after the film's premiere I believe. And the brutish caveman husband of hers was in the frame all the time; I just edited him out.
Meanwhile, I haven't had time to format my next selections for this thread yet. But for those who like to ID my stuff in advance (yes, that's you del!), here are a few teasers. |

Speaking of which, here's the one on the left. I'm sure I noticed an online video of the scene a few years ago, but nothing at all jumped out at me when I tried looking again this week. So here's my frame-by-frame version. The first lesson seems to be that it's not only dumb males who have a habit of tying up attractive women, but leaving their muscular, athletic legs swinging free at head height. There's only ever going to be one outcome really. And the second thing we can take from the scene is the shock discovery that you can film this stuff in a way we can actually see what's going on. |

Re: Quick Cuts With Scissors (Movies & TV)
I suppose presenting so many screenshots might be overkill, but I'd forgotten just how long this scene lasts. Sure, there are cutaways here, there and everywhere as we see three characters being killed simultaneously in different rooms. But that just adds to the feeling of this being a slow Death by a Thousand Squeezes. Watching it, you think it's 2-3 minutes later in real time and the pretty cheerleader is still dishing out the pain.
So by now blondie is twisting her hips savagely from side to side like she's trying to rip her maniac torturer's head from her shoulders with those bloodstained legs. And at the same time, she uses the girl underneath to keep herself high enough to untie her hands. Once everything is in control, we see the victim's final breath. And with her hands now free, Cheerleader Scissor Girl falls to the ground with the lifeless body still between her legs. |
