Ming-Na Wen isn't satisfied with comfortably beating up the overdressed henchman in a fight; she wants a brutal Fatality!

I thought this was excellent from the moment I first watched the scene. (The performance, that is - not the picture quality. ) It must be very difficult to make it look like you've twisted and snapped someone's neck so realistically - without actually hurting the other actor. But her technique in that respect looks perfect.

I know these screenshots are Off-Topic, but I'm answering a 'source' question. It's something people often want to know, but are strangely scared of asking. And I try not to make Picture Posts without some actual piccies as illustrations.

So here is Ming-Na Wen, softening up the henchman just before she grabs his neck and snaps it [1-9].

TBH, I can't remember - but the answer is almost certainly 'No', I'm afraid.

I know that because if she had been involved in any hand-to-hand fighting, I'd have captured and posted that too. As you can see more clearly now, she's part of an armed black-clad M/F team, and there's a pistol on the floor. So the other two guys were probably shot - possibly by her, but most likely by other members (bearing in mind that she's not holding a gun herself).

As you've suggested, she's just a sadistic, savage fighter who likes to get her hands dirty by snuffing out the opposition manually, rather than shooting them from a distance.

What I can do, though, is give you the source if you want to try and trace it, to perhaps check what happened yourself? The title is Orquidea Sangrienta, starring Lorena Herrera (who isn't the sexy neckbreaker here). The scene popped up at the 42-minute mark on my DVD version.

From this point onwards, the heroine pushes the henchman down to the ground with her foot, whilst still tightly holding the rubber pipe that's curled around his neck [3-10]. No way, Buddy - you can't tap your submission; this isn't WWE [11-14].

Awwww! Now the big guy is crying, bless him [15-18]. Maybe he wants his Mummy to come and save him from the nasty girl. Then we see a big smile develop on her face [19]. And that's why I've brought the scene over here.

She's not only happy to be in full control of the situation, she's anticipating what comes next. There's a twist and a snap (sadly not obvious in stills); his neck has gone, and so has he [20-23]. Well, Hello there! [24]

Here's a novelty for you. Hopefully you can see what's going on, but I'll set out the context anyway.

The hero and heroine are double-teaming a massive East European hoodlum. The hero wraps his arm around the big guys neck, forms the typical RNC and starts to squeeze - with little effect [1]. So his blonde partner intervenes [2].

"No, you're doing it all wrong. We haven't got all day. Here, let me do it for you." [3-6]

And so she appplies a reverse choke, whilst her male buddy slowly releases his hold [7-10]. But, as she said, they need to be quick. So rather than wait until he passes out, she brutally snaps his neck [11-14]. He slides backwards onto the sofa, his doleful eyes still open; looking like a baby seal watching its mother being clubbed [15-19].

If anyone thought she looked a bit lightweight to be breaking necks with just one arm, take a look at it after she removed that baggy black jacket [20].
